Synthetic Turf Infill
Synthetic turf is weighed down with sand. The sand has to be dry, clean and sized, so it flows between the fibres and stays there.

MRP infill sand for synthetic turf
MRP supplies kiln-dried infill sand to turf installers across Queensland. Synthetic turf is a carpet of fibres on a backing. On its own it moves, creases and the fibres flatten. Infill sand is brushed into the pile. It holds the carpet down, keeps the fibres upright, and gives the surface weight and firmness. On sports and play surfaces it also affects how the surface feels and drains.
What we have to get right
Infill has to flow. It is spread by machine and brushed in, so it must be dry. Moist sand clumps, sits on top of the fibres and never reaches the backing. It has to be clean: silt and clay turn to mud in the pile, hold water and stain. And it has to be sized — coarse enough not to blow or wash out, fine enough to work down between the fibres. The turf installer specifies the size.
The MRP product
Kiln-Dried Sand is made for this. Washed quartz sand is dried in our kiln and screened to a close fraction between 0.3 mm and 6 mm. It arrives dry, free of fines and at the size the installer asks for. The drying is what lets it be sized accurately and spread evenly on the day.
