MRP select fill for building pads and hardstands
MRP supplies select fill for platforms, sub-grades and hardstands across Queensland. A structure needs a platform that will not settle, heave or hold water. Natural ground rarely gives one. So a controlled fill is placed in layers and compacted to a density set by the engineer, with testing to prove it. The fill has to be uniform — the same material, layer after layer — or the compaction and the testing mean nothing.
What we have to get right
Consistency first: a screened granular material of even character compacts the same way every time. Drainage: water in the platform is what causes movement, so a free-draining fill is preferred. And workability: a material that spreads and compacts easily with standard plant.
The MRP product
Select Fill from MRP Sand Quarry is a screened granular material for residential and industrial building pads, subdivision earthworks, road and pavement sub-grades, hardstands, access roads and equipment platforms. It is placed in layers and compacted to the specification. The engineer sets the density; the fill is what makes it achievable.
