MRP kiln-dried sand for sprayed concrete and specialised cements
Sprayed concrete, renders and specialised cement products need a clean, closely graded sand that pumps, applies and cures the same every time. MRP supplies kiln-dried sand, sized 0.3 mm to 6 mm, to the producer's formulation. Made on site at our own quarry at Talgai, Queensland.
What producers need from us
Two things about the sand decide whether the product works. Moisture: water in the sand changes the mix and, in a bagged product, starts setting off the cement. Grain size: the grading sets how the mix pumps, sticks and finishes. Both have to match the formulation in every load.
How we make it
Washed sand goes through our kiln, then is screened. Drying is what allows accurate sizing: moist sand clumps and blocks a screen, dry sand separates cleanly at each mesh. We produce a single close fraction, a band between two sieves, or a grading to the customer's curve, between 0.3 mm and 6 mm. It leaves the kiln dry.

Bulk supply to producers and blending plants throughout Queensland. Send the target grading or sieve band, the moisture limit if there is one, the tonnage and the delivery point.
