MRP washed sand for concrete and asphalt
Concrete and asphalt plants need a fine aggregate that performs the same every delivery. MRP supplies washed sand to ready-mix plants, precasters and asphalt producers. It is washed and screened on our own site at Talgai, Queensland, and delivered in bulk.
What batching plants need from us
A mix design is tuned to its sand. Silt and clay on the grains raise water demand and weaken the bond, so fine aggregate is commonly specified against AS 2758.1, which limits them. What the plant needs is a sand with the fines removed and a grading that does not move between deliveries.
How we make it
Raw sand goes through our wash plant, where water strips out the silt and clay. The clean sand is then screened to a set grading. The result is extremely clean and consistent: the same grading and the same low fines, load after load. The deposit is also naturally coarse and sub-rounded, which helps a workable, economical mix.

Bulk supply by road to plants across Queensland. South East Queensland is the regular run: Warwick, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We are a Queensland TMR-approved producer. Ask for grading results for a specific supply when you enquire.
